What I’ve been up to: Craving Boston, WGBH

I promise all of you the last year hasn't been filled with 100% mundanity, apparently that is a word! Besides planning the marriage of my life and reciting the most personal vows to my soulmate, I've been doing lots of recipe testing. My newest project as a freelance writer is Craving Boston, courtesy of the masterminds over at WGBH. Almost six months and counting, it has been really exciting to be a part of something that is truly "New England," both in it's focus and it's sense of spirit.

I'll be mostly recipe-focused, whether it is writing my own seasonal, simple-to-approach [don't worry, ample amounts of flavor too] recipes, or garnering inspiration from restaurants in the area towards developing their recipes geared towards the home cook, please check it out. With an amazing award-winning editor at the helm, I'm truly honored to be a part of this project with many other respective food writers in the Boston area.

A little different than my Boston Globe recipes, Craving Boston is a bit more playful in it's approach and style, while still allowing readers to discover and savor New England through true locavores. Search some hysterical titles and tags for each post, [ie. bacon bacon bacon, and cauliflower for my one recipe], but read more about the matriach of Italian cuisine, Lidia Bastianich. I think there is something for everyone to discover, cook, and even imbibe.

Keep an eye on the Instagram and Twitter. I'll normally share new recipes with links there, but even taking a peek every morning as you sip your coffee, Craving Boston can keep you updated on all things New England. Let me know what you think! Happy frigid Tuesday =)
