Raincoast Crisps: your new favorite cracker.

Okay, my love affair with these crisps has been going on far too long without me sharing them with you. Currently up for a sofi Award, one of the most highly regarded accolades for specialty foods, Raincoast Crisps are a complex crunchy cracker that is speckled with an array of seeds, nuts, and seasonings. They are now available in multiple flavors like pumpkin spice, fig and olive, and my current obsession, salty date and almond.

Lesley Stowe Fine Foods, a Canadian company that also makes cookies and oat based crisps, takes a small batch, artisan approach to these crisps by crafting them with mostly whole grains and fiber-rich ingredients. Delicious and addictive on their own, the crisps also make a great cheese plate accompaniment. A softened hunk of brie topping the briny fig and olive crisp, garnished with a little dollop of sweet rhubarb jam....

Sounds pretty delicious, right? Try these crackers as soon as possible! I've found them at my local grocery store and Whole Foods, and it makes me feel like I'm getting a bit more healthful nutrients and wholesome ingredients in my antipasti platters. I'm working on a few savory baked goods recipes at the moment, and I can share them with you next week!
