Fig and Goat Cheese Dip

One of my favorite cheese board combinations is a generous dollop of creamy goat cheese, a layer of fig jam, and a drizzle of honey. All nestled atop a rustic chip or cracker, how dreamy does that sound? Well, now you can have those incredible flavors all in one bowl, as a fig and goat cheese dip! Featuring a sweeter appetizer at the Super Bowl spread is a great counterbalance to all of those spicy nachos, wings, and salsas. Serve this puree with the Chocolate tortilla chip from Food Should Taste Good, and if there are leftovers, spread some on your prosciutto and arugula sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Serves 10.

  1. Take the whole dried figs, finely chop them, and place them in a food processor. If you are using an immersion blender, place them in a bowl.
  2. Add the goat cheese, Greek yogurt, and honey to the chopped figs. Pulse the mixture until smooth or a desired dipping consistency. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula, as needed.
  3. Transfer the goat cheese puree into a serving bowl, and serve with the FSTG Chocolate tortilla chip or your favorite, rustic crackers.
